Happy Birthday William & Tommy!

It's been a busy few months for us. c.J. turned 3 in April, and William and Tommy's birthdays followed shortly behind in May. They've turned 7 and 5. Since the boys' birthdays are so close together (1 day apart!) we decided to celebrate together this year with one giant lego gala!
The boys helped with some lego invitations, we made a lego pinata, and a cake shaped like a lego brick. Our family let us borrow their awesome swimming pool, and the kids had a great time splashing around. The pinata was a blast, and durable enough to last long enough to give the youngest to oldest kids a good "whack"!
A friend snapped some great photos of all the kids, for which we are grateful. Earlier in the week we celebrated the birthdays with family members, and a special "Day Out with Thomas" the Tank Engine for Tommy, he really enjoyed the train ride!
After a busy school year and soccer season, we're looking forward to some fun time in the summer months to come. Rick has the boat polished and ready :)
Hope everyone has a great summer!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Just a quick update to the blog, and some new pictures. There's one of C.J. and her new baby and nursery that Santa brought for Christmas. She didn't even want to open any of her other presents, she was content to care for her little one!
There is a picture of mom and the kids on the bean bag chair. We watched the "Polar Express" complete with our pajamas, and hot chocolate, it was a lot of fun. Every time a good song would come on, the kids would get up and dance, then settle back down to continue watching the movie.
Finally, there's a cute shot of the kids learning how to use their chopsticks in preparation for Chinese New Year. They are actually getting quite proficient, even C.J.! For Chinese New Year, we attended a Chinese cultural event with a performance group from China, it was really fun. The kids wore their Chinese clothes, and at times were dancing in the aisles! Tommy really enjoyed it. William enjoyed the Lion Dance, but, to our great disappointment, there was no dragon. Maybe next year :)
Wishing every one a Happy (Chinese) New Year!
